Dispose used fuel filters in the garbage after you drain the fuel from them.
1) Turn the filter upside down to drain the fuel into an airtight container. Dispose of the waste and bring it to one of the hazardous waste collection sites listed below.If the fuel cannot be drained from the filter, take it to one of the household hazardous waste collection sites listed below. All containers must be 5 gallons or less.
