Empty containers

Empty containers are not accepted at the hazardous waste facilities. Dry, empty containers, including aerosol cans and pesticide containers, can go in the garbage. No need to rinse.

Empty gasoline containers (less than five gallons) can be disposed of in the regular garbage. Vent them for two to three days and keep lids open. 

Please do not recycle empty pesticide containers.
